Alpine Skiingwomen's world cup
The World Cup rankings after the Garmisch races, with the Swiss saying goodbye by commanding both downhill and super-g. On a general level, the Slovakian is still in the running.

The Garmisch women's weekend, in addition to unfortunately leaving the memory of the serious accidents that occurred to Sofia Goggia and Viktoria Rebensburg, out for the rest of the season, indicated Corinne Suter as the true queen of speed.
The Swiss command both the downhill and the super-g rankings, respectively with three and two races still on the calendar: all very open, even if in the second case the fight now seems restricted to a duel with Federica Brignone, distant only 39 lengths.
The Aosta Valley has shortened in general on Mikaela Shiffrin, now 145 points ahead of Federica and, leaving aside the speech related to the return of the World Cup leader, be careful not to underestimate the position of Petra Vlhova. Of course, now the Slovak is 189 lengths from Brignone and 334 from Shiffrin, but with four slaloms ahead and the weekend of technical tests in Kranjska Gora, Vlhova also has its chances considering that in Garmisch he still collected a decent booty with 61 points, if we think that the one in Bavaria was his second absolute stop in speed after Bansko, where he had immediately obtained the best results of his career between downhill and super-g (double 6th place).
The 8th and 9th on Kandahar 1 are clearly part of the long-term project of Livio Magoni and his staff to work on Petra in a multi-purpose perspective, but already in the short-medium term the fruits are seeing all right.
