Crac at the knee also for Luana Fluetsch: the Swiss stops a few days after the debut in the World Cup

The 24-year-old from Graubünden would begin her adventure in the maximum circuit at Lake Louise: partial rupture of the anterior and lateral crusader.

It is a very black period, in terms of injuries related above all to the female sector. On the day when Ragnhild Mowinckel officially ended his season even before starting, the same happens to the Swiss Luana Fluetsch; we are talking about an athlete who, at 24 and after being placed in team B, would have made his debut in the World Cup just on the weekend of 6-8 December in Lake Louise. A dream vanished, for the young Graubünden, a few days after the start due to a fall suffered in a super-g training session in Nakiska, last week; landed by a back, Fluetsch gleaned and ended up on the ground, getting a partial rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of the right knee, in addition to the lesion of the internal lateral ligament. In the evening, Swiss-ski confirmed the diagnosis and, after a consultation at the Balgrist university hospital in Zurich, it was decided for a rehabilitation program that, at least for now, does not include surgery. The Fluetsch season, of course, is already over like that of teammate Nicole Good, who had raised the white flag a few weeks ago. "Sport can be so beautiful and make you fly carefree, but also just as painful - the Swiss athlete announced on social media - I was ready for my debut in the World Cup, now it will start all over again, but I'm ready to fight".
