Curtoni joins the speed group to fly to La Parva: the Azzurre in action in Chile from Friday

For two weeks (until October 2), eight athletes from the World Cup group will train in super-G and downhill, moving on from Ushuaia, where Pirovano and Bassino will remain until September 24 before returning to Italy.

After several days of good training in Ushuaia, the Italian women’s World Cup speed team is ready to move to Chile, to La Parva, for another two weeks of specific work also focusing on downhill, starting on September 18.

Elena Curtoni will therefore join the group that travelled to Argentina, consisting of Roberta Melesi, Sara Allemand, Teresa Runggaldier, Sara Thaler, Nadia Delago, Nicol Delago and Asja Zenere. In the “Land of Fire”, she had already been training with Goggia, Bassino and Pirovano since the last week of August. The women guided by head coach Giovanni Feltrin and coaches and trainers Giorgio Pavoni, Paolo Stefanini and Alberto Parola will return to Italy directly from Chile on October 2.

Laura Pirovano and Marta Bassino, meanwhile, will remain in Ushuaia as planned until Friday, September 24. For the athlete from Trentino and the one from Cuneo, with one month to go before Soelden, the countdown to the season opener will begin, followed by a return to training on European glaciers in October.
