Sofia Goggia has already been thinking about the new season for weeks, she who had to close the last one ahead of time, also skipping the super-g and the giant of the Courchevel-Méribel finals, after having run in precarious conditions the descent that gave her the third career specialty World Cup.
Just as he did at the Olympics with that magical silver and in Crans-Montana getting on the podium, after the injury in Cortina. And so, with a few days of skiing in her legs in the last four months, Sofia has decided, in concert with the coach who will now follow her personally, and we're talking about Luca Agazzi, to get back on track.
Already this morning, the blue downhill skier was on the snow of the Stelvio (where some World Cup athletes are already working, see Ilka Stuhec herself) to begin the long approach towards the 2022/23 season, which in terms of speed will start earlier than to the classic triptych of Lake Louise, or with the two descents of Zermatt / Cervinia on 5-6 November.
The blue star, however, wants to return to the top even in giant and will work a lot on this discipline, also preparatory for super-g and downhill, with the first fruits that could already be seen in Soelden, for the opening of the World Cup next 22 October. It will be just a "prologue", true, but this Sofia Goggia already has a great desire for the track and competitive spirit.
