Almost five full weeks of preparation on winter snow, for a job done in top conditions in Argentina.
Marta Bassino, Sofia Goggia and Federica Brignone are about to complete the long meeting that brought them back to Ushuaia after 3 years, with the expected return to Italy on Friday.
The winner of the absolute World Cup in 2019/2020 had some doubts regarding a problem in her left knee prior to the overseas trip, but Brignone confirmed to physi.org that she was able to fully comply with the planned program, no longer accusing no nuisance. "My left leg is much better - says the Aosta Valley champion - I arrived in Argentina with the doubt of not knowing if I could complete the internship, however the good athletic work done during the summer helped a lot and helped me to overcome uncertainty.
Physically I feel fine, I feel much better on skis than a while ago; it just lacks a little of that confidence that comes only with track training. We still have a few weeks to refine the condition before the debut in the cup in Soelden. The snow conditions in Ushuaia were excellent, we had a lot of good days, the weather was good ”.
