The champions of speed closed the Festival dello Sport, dueling for over an hour on the stage of the Teatro Sociale. Sofia: "Lindsey has a simply incredible human depth, yet it is difficult to be friends in the world of skiing".

Today, however, Sofia Goggia and Lindsey Vonn took all the time necessary to tell and tell each other, on the stage of the Teatro Sociale di Trento at the end of a 2022 edition of the "Sport Festival" which has decided to close with the meeting between the queens of the descent.
Interviewed by Massimo Gramellini, Sofia and Lindsey started from that very special friendship relationship that, being a decidedly current topic, also recalls that between Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal. United by continuous ascents after injuries but not only, just think of the last against last November at Copper Mountain, with the Bergamo player then a guest at the home of the four-time winner of the absolute World Cup, but also to those very special days in Cortina, a real “home” for both.
“Those flowers that Sofia gave me remain a special memory - Vonn's words - Yes, there are similarities between us even if, asking about Federer and Nadal, I don't know if we can compare ourselves to them. In terms of friendship, however, certainly yes ".
Sofia added: “It is difficult for women to have a friendship within the world of skiing. There are so many dynamics that are not seen from the outside, there are tensions and I can say that I have friends outside this sport and they are the people I rely on when I take off my boots, but Lindsey has an incredible human depth, she is a person who goes beyond the simple champion. I don't know anyone of his caliber ”.
