The triumph in the second downhill in Val d''Isère has a particular significance for Sofia Goggia, who returned to rejoice over a year after the all-blue double with Federica Brignone, in the super-g of Sankt Moritz at the beginning of last season.
With the pearl on the Oreiller-Killy, the Bergamo champion climbed to eight wins in the World Cup (the fifth downhill), as many as Karen Putzer in fourth place among the multiple blue victors in the maximum circuit. Deborah Compagnoni commands with 16 seals, one more than Federica Brignone and Isolde Kostner, then here is the Bergamo and South Tyrolean in front of Denise Karbon (at 6).
