Gritsch also wins downhill: Wembstad burned for 2 cents in Crans-Montana, Dolmen 13th

European Cup: the Austrian is imposed by a whisker in the first appointment on Mont Lachaux (Sunday the encore), blue out of the top ten but with decent placings also for Pichler and Zanoner.

A very tight descent, on the snows of Mont Lachaux in Crans-Montana which, next week, will host the Women's World Cup. As per tradition, the aperitif was proposed by the European Cup and the mistress of the general classification, Franziska Gritsch, was able to give herself, after giant and super-g, also the first triumph in the queen discipline, orphaned in this weekend of specialty leader Juliana Suter. At 20 cents the Swiss Delia Durrer concluded, preceding three other Austrians in the series, or Fest fourth in front of the talents Wechner and Schoepf. The blues failed to hit the top ten, with Elena Dolmen (winner at St. Anton in the last few weeks) still the best, thirteenth at 1 ”36 from Gritsch. However, Karoline Pichler's race was also good, 15th, ahead of Monica Zanoner 16th, with Teresa Runggaldier 20th, Sara Allemand 22nd and Vicky Bernardi 29th.
