The team for tomorrow's race will be completed by Melanie Meillard, Camille Rast (back in front of the European Cup with the great 2nd place from Andalo), Jasmina Suter and Priska Nufer.
Instead, there will be only four Swiss for the slalom on Tuesday, with the same Holdener, Gisin, Meillard and Rast in the race, given that the injuries have taken away Danioth and another quality young woman like Stoffel.
Germany will propose two athletes for the giant, namely Andrea Filser and Marlene Schmotz, but will have much more chances for quality placings the next day, with the same two athletes in slalom together, above all, with Lena Duerr, Jessica Hilzinger and Marina Wallner.
In Semmering we will also see Meta Hrovat, blocked by a back injury that blocked her in Courchevel, where she did not participate in the second run of the giant number 1, then giving up the second race which took place 48 hours later: the 22-year-old Slovenian she remained in the pits for a week, then gradually resumed in Tarvisio before joining her teammates on the snow in Obdach, for the last pre-return training session.
Sweden, as is known, will not have its star Anna Swenn-Larsson, whose season never started after Covid and the ankle fracture remedied in training that forced the vice world slalom champion to undergo surgery, also losing the chance to return for the world championship event in Cortina. Therefore, everything will be focused on Sara Hector between the wide doors, hoping to find Estelle Alphand at good levels, really in trouble in this first part of the season.
