Sofia's thoughts returning from Lake Louise: "Incredible triptych, I can hardly make it ..."

Sofia Goggia tells in her own way the emotions she experienced before, during and after the super-g that concluded a dream weekend in Canada. After a full month in North America, here is the return home.

Thoughts, thoughts from Sofia, unique thoughts that a great champion wants to give to fans, a few hours after completing a hat-trick masterpiece in a single stage of the World Cup, in that Lake Louise always bewitched by the Bergamo champion and now so ... her. Returning from the very long North American trip, which began exactly one month ago with the first training sessions at Copper Mountain, where Goggia & Co. arrived on 6 November, here are the words of the blue referring to yesterday's race, but not only. “The real test is tomorrow. Yes, I knew it intimately, I knew it from the moment I finished the descent the day before yesterday, taking my sixth consecutive victory in the discipline. In the past it had happened to me to make a consecutive double in Free without ever confirming myself in Superg and inside I felt that the step to be taken for my growth was right there; knowing how to change register, interrupt the module, adapt from one discipline to another more readily, believe and feel inside of me, convincing even that most hidden part of the heart, which at times fears not being able to do it, that you can really do it. So yesterday I did not watch any girl on TV leaving, if not one of my companions, I had my coach repeat the lines, lines that we had meticulously studied in reconnaissance, I visualized the track for the umpteenth time, I said to myself to attack and trust my feet, because when you trust them they know what to do. I started, focused, doing the right things, with tactics - maybe too much! - on the wall and sliding the skis on the floor, the speed entered and I felt it, I followed it ... I was with her. I crossed the finish line and saw green light, and although it may seem paradoxical, immediately for the first time in these three days I was aware and convinced that no one would be able to stand in front of me anymore. The green light and -0.11 cents can cause an irrepressible explosion of happiness in the heart and I, I have lived it all. This triptych is something indescribable, so incredible that I can hardly make it happen inside of me. They are three beautiful and unique victories, and ... the sincere hugs with my companions, those with my coaches and my Skiman at the finish line, exchanging glances with them that do not need to be verbally explained, seeing in them the satisfaction and the contentment, knowing that I have grabbed an incredible triptych together, makes me very proud: for my heart it is another green light, and it is a light studded with stardust.
