Excellent all-rounder, in just 5 World Cup races he had already conquered a 9th place in combined at Altenmarkt-Zauchensee. "The hardest choice I've ever made."

A talent expected at high levels, but as too often happens, tormented by injuries.
So, at only 23 years old (we are talking about a '99 class), Ida Dannewitz says enough is enough and hangs up her skis: the announcement was given by the young Swede herself, at the same time as the national teams' official status for next season, in which his name is not present.
A real shame, given that Dannewitz has seen his career interrupted several times and, despite this, some satisfaction has come if we think of the world debut at home, in the Are 2019 world championship where he was also 26th in super-g, and with only 5 tokens in the World Cup, all in the winter of 2019/2020, she was capable of a ninth place in the combined Altenmarkt-Zauchensee (won by Brignone ahead of Holdener and Bassino).
The last races at the Swedish championships in March 2021, then after another year full of difficulties to try to return, Ida raised the white flag. "It's the hardest thing I've ever done, saying no to what I dreamed of since I was a child - her words on social media - I chose to end my career, I can say thanks to all those who have been part of the my trip ".
