Panzeri added to the Gazzetta dello Sport that “Olympic hope must be kept open, even if the days are very few. We have to stick to Sofia's strength and the recoveries she is used to doing. You first have to hear it, we can give the ok, but the decision will be yours. We are talking about the Olympics, it's worth it but the trauma was certainly important ”.
And then again: “Neither Dr. Schoenhuber nor I would have wanted to relive this situation for the umpteenth time. Just a year ago we were here before the World Championships in Cortina, in the moment of maximum form, not far from a great event this bad luck was not needed. She is strong, in recent years she has always shown that she knows how to recover, both physically and in the head. Let's see if it will make a miracle this time too. Sofia knows her knee well, she's worked on it before. By being reconstructed, this partial cruciate injury may somehow bother her less. In this moment the real needle of the scales is her, her head, her strength. On the whole we can still say “he can do it” and this is good. There is a chance, you have to play it. But she will make the difference ".
