The return home of Sofia Goggia, discharged from the La Madonnina clinic: "The pain doesn't scare me"

Today the blue champion left Milan to begin the re-education phase. "In the next two months I will think exclusively of recovery".

Sofia Goggia was discharged from the La Madonnina Clinic this morning, after being subjected yesterday to the removal of the plaque on her left arm. Obviously, the downhill Olympian had arrived in Milan on Sunday evening for the specialist examination which sanctioned, according to the diagnosis of doctors Herbert Schoenhuber and Andrea Panzeri of the FISI Medical Commission, the fracture of the lateral tibial plateau of the right knee. Now Sofia has returned to her home in Bergamo and the re-education will begin tomorrow: "I feel enormous regret in not running the World Cup and defending the colors of my country, but that's the way things are and must be accepted - her words once I leave the clinic - I will work to get back on track in the best conditions, in the next two months I will think exclusively of recovery, I am not afraid of physical pain. I received so many messages of affection and I thank those who wrote to me, I cannot physically reply to everyone but they are in my heart ”.
