A shower of messages via social media, we can imagine how many of phone calls and exchanges on a private level, but Hanna Schnarf has really left her mark in the heart of her teammates, technicians and rivals, only on the track and never out, given how much made the 35 year old from Valdaora love who today announced the retirement from competitive skiing.
The institutional reference message can only be that of the FISI president, Flavio Roda: “It has been a point of reference for the women's team for over a decade - the words of the number 1 in via Piranesi - His behavior inside and outside the piste has made an important contribution to the growth of a group that is giving enormous satisfaction. The injuries prevented her from reaching further goals that her talent would have deserved, however she was equally able to leave a mark in the history of our Federation, which thanks Johanna and wishes her a bright future ".
They are the companions of the speed group that over the years has been renamed that of the "DH Lions" to give the best messages, starting with Elena Curtoni who is very close to Schnarf: "You have been an example for me, always with a smile and always working hard - the greeting from Valtellina - Pungent in the right moments, a little careless in others. You lost your memory (and your phone) several times, but you never stopped being a lioness. Will miss you".
And then Sofia Goggia: “Thanks for the positivity and brightness that have always distinguished you and that you have been able to convey to us. Although not for long, it was nice to share part of the journey together. And we await a party in dirndl "(the traditional South Tyrolean dress used in various areas of the Alps, ed.). From Francesca Marsaglia to Federica Brignone, from the younger Bassino and Delago who had the opportunity to compete with her, as well as for many years the Fanchini sisters, many certificates of esteem such as that of a great female ski of the 80s, Ninna Quario. "You have been a champion not only of sport, but of sympathy".
And then the whole blue world of winter sports, from Dorothea Wierer to Dominik Windisch, from the Moelgg brothers to Matteo Marsaglia and Luca De Aliprandini, up to the now former foreign colleagues. A thought for Hanna by Michelle Gisin, Nicole Schmidhofer, Anna Veith, Mirjam Puchner, Ilka Stuhec, Tina Weirather, Ragnhild Mowinckel, Frida Hansdotter and many others.
