Ten months from destroying the right knee in training in the Senales valley Karoline Pichler has finally returned to skiing two days ago. She announced herself with a beautiful and long post on her Facebook page.

"Exactly 10 months after that bad accident I went back to skiing. 10 months long, full of work and commitment - writes Karoline -. Sunday was a very special day, a unique emotion: I go to the glacier, agitated more than ever, dress me, I wake up, I enjoy every single moment. I hook up my skis and breath ... breathing deeper than ever. I get so many pictures for my head, my heart beats strong. I pull down the mask, I realize it's still full of tears, I decide not to clean it ... I'm just starting to get it from the tears of pain that damn day and turn it into tears of joy. The last look goes to Seraina (the physiotherapist, ndr), another breath, childbirth and snaps the most beautiful minute of my life. One minute I'm paying for the fatigue I've done in the last 10 months. Brake, burst into tears remembering that exactly 10 months ago I did not know if I could ever come back. My first thought: This is my place in the world! An injury requires so much support, but this time I needed it more than ever. One thanks goes to my friends and physiotherapists Seraina and Tamara, without them it would not have been possible. I would like to thank Dr. Hinterwimmer and Dr. Perwanger and his team at Orthoplus Bozen - Bolzano, my second home. 😉 Thanks to them these 10 months have flown. Thanks to Monika and Stefano for the many hours spent together in the gym. Thanks to all the people I've been close to.
