Austria also loses Elisabeth Kappaurer and questions herself: why all these injuries?

Another crash at the women's Wunderteam, after yet another stop for Stephanie Brunner and a sequence that seems endless.

Austria is once again questioning the subject of injuries, having lost a promising young woman like Elisabeth Kappaurer for next season. As is known, the giant '94 class native of Vorarlberg fell during a training session between Ushuaia, in the last days when, together with the national team mates including Eva-Maria Brem (one who of accidents if he knows, unfortunately), he was completing the training on the Argentine snows. The merciless diagnosis, with the fracture of the tibia and fibula of the right leg, as well as a fracture also to the tibial plateau of the left leg (which was destroyed 11 months ago, breaking his tibia and fibula in Saas Fee in the pre-season), brings the whole white and red environment to look for reasons that go beyond mere misfortune. Already last summer, presidentissimo Peter Schroecksnadel announced that he had made major changes to injury prevention for his athletes, increasing the budget to work better on medical preparation and support. And yet, from the very serious injury that occurred to Anna Veith in Solden, in October 2015 and a few days after the start of a World Cup that the Salzburg champion could not defend, after conquering the crystal ball in the two previous years, all or almost went wrong within the women's national team, with the same Brem being seriously injured after winning the giant cup and, from Conny Huetter to Stephanie Brunner, the stops were repeated for the same athlete.
