We will try, but the weather does not promise anything good even for tomorrow, like today when the snow turned into rain in the lower part of the "Kandahar", soon forced to cancel the first of the two tests scheduled for the women's downhill from Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
On Friday (11 am) the only training is scheduled at this point, before the races on Saturday and Sunday, but the hypothesis advances, with the same FIS that has already communicated it to the teams, to try to save the last weekend of the cup before the World Cup, staging two super-gs and thus canceling the sixth seasonal descent, which would be recovered in place of one of the two super-gs scheduled for late February in Val di Fassa.
The problem is that even Saturday and Sunday there will be rain and a lot of humidity in Bavaria, but a race like the super-g on a shorter track and without the obligation to run at least one test is clearly more manageable. In any case, today afternoon the startlist of Friday's training was made official, to then decide on a possible new program based on what will be on the track tomorrow morning: Petra Vlhova will wear the number 1, while Federica Brignone (who would have started first today) will have 3 and Sofia Goggia has opted for 5.
After the specialty leader we will see Austria with Puchner and Tippler, followed by Laura Pirovano and Corinne Suter. Four Swiss teams in series, with Gut-Behrami who will have number 11, then again blue with Elena Curtoni and Francesca Marsaglia (bib numbers 13 and 14), in addition to Marta Bassino with 16, while Ledecka (17) and Johnson ( 19) have chosen high numbers.
Nadia Delago was drawn with 23, finally Roberta Melesi last at the start with 42. As long as you can get on track.
