The rankings of the women's cup: Shiffrin does not miss a beat, in the dominant blue super-g

After 10 tests out of 37 and a consecutive five in speed (but there will still be downhill and super-g next weekend in Val d''Isère), the American has 90 points on Goggia and almost 200 on Vlhova. She is the big favorite for the crystal ball with this continuity also in super-g, but Courchevel will say a lot about the values in giant.

After a quarter of the season and the double weekend entirely dedicated to speed races, with the two descents of Lake Louise preceding three consecutive super-gs, a first line can be drawn on the Women's World Cup which, at the level of the classification general, it is always commanded by Mikaela Shiffrin. The American champion has shown great solidity in the two races in Sankt Moritz, with a double third place worth 120 points and the maintenance of the margin on that Sofia Goggia who is the first pursuer of Mikaela: there are 90 lengths between the two, with the possibility that the blue will also overtake in the next round of Val d''Isère, again with downhill and super-g on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19, before the two giants of Courchevel go on stage (21-22 December) and the technical tests of Lienz at the end of the year, real fiefdoms for Shiffrin. Clearly she is the big favorite for the crystal ball, also considering Lara Gut-Behrami's stop today and Petra Vlhova's choice to aim only for giant and slalom (at least for now). After three tests out of nine, the super-g ranking is impressive, with three Italians in the first five places: Goggia extended to +40 on Gut-Behrami while keeping the red bib, Brignone climbed to -43 and Curtoni to -64, just behind Shiffrin herself, who could miss the next appointment in Val d''Isère. At WCSL level, Brignone is clearly second ahead of Suter, with Goggia now 4th having overtaken Tippler and Curtoni herself sixth ahead of Bassino, while Shiffrin is back in the top ten, with Marsaglia 14th and fifth blue in the ranking.
