Thirty-one races disputed (and the 32nd, the giant from Semmering canceled after the 1st heat, saw her in the lead) and 1416 points obtained, those that were enough for Petra Vlhova to bring home her first absolute World Cup.
Switzerland climbed the final podium with the Slovakian, with Lara Gut-Behrami 160 points away and Michelle Gisin at -286, saving third place with only 55 points of margin over Mikaela Shiffrin, at the end fourth breaking through 1000 points with the giant of Lenzerheide and, throughout the entire season, disputing only the technical tests (skipping Soelden and the parallel of Lech / Zuers). The blues failed to finish in the top 5, where Federica Brignone and Marta Bassino entered last year: fifth position, surpassing 900 points for the first time in her career, went to Katharina Liensberger who overtook with the slalom of final Bassino, who in turn precedes Brignone by just 9 points, seventh.
There are three Italians in the top ten, four are the Swiss (who, not surprisingly, have won the ranking by nations both at the female and absolute level, in addition to that in the male field): Sofia Goggia, losing all the races from February onwards due to the Garmisch's injury, he finished ninth, with 740 points to his credit, between Corinne Suter and Wendy Holdener. To underline also the 14th final position of Elena Curtoni (432 pt) and the 22nd of Laura Pirovano (273 pt), but Francesca Marsaglia, 32nd, also arrived over 200.
The final podium of the giant cup, behind Marta Bassino who had already closed the accounts for the crystal ball with Jasna's penultimate race, was completed by Mikaela Shiffrin and Tessa Worley, with the French who saved the 3rd place with only two points ahead of Michelle Gisin, while Federica Brignone missed 19 to grab the two-time specialty world champion.
Finally, the giant WCSL, which presents a decidedly interesting situation regarding the first starting sub-group: Brignone and Vlhova, in fact, sail in sixth and seventh position, with Alice Robinson (second and first in the last two races) at only 36 points from the Slovakian and therefore potentially able to re-enter the magnificent 7 after the inaugural giant of Soelden. Sofia Goggia has a good margin in defense of her top 15 and therefore of the second sub-group, excellent the 20th position of Elena Curtoni who this season is literally reborn between the wide doors.
