Ledecka and the compromise with the federation to compete: "I will self-finance the season"

The Czech champion has announced the conclusion of the dispute: she will continue to compete for the Czech Republic, but with an important economic sacrifice. "I advised the federation to use those resources for young people."

Ester Ledecka experienced a summer that was anything but simple, from some physical trouble, to the change of materials since this year we will see her engaged in speed with Kaestle material, up to the tug-of-war with the federation of the Czech Republic, situation that is also experiencing the equally famous compatriot Eva Samkova, star of snowboard cross. Well, tonight the three-time Olympic champion announced that she had somehow resolved the issue: soon we will therefore see her in the race, after missing the opening in Soelden (she played the giant three times on Rettenbach, scoring points in the 2020) and in view of a "Speed Opening", that of Zermatt-Cervinia, which will see her as a protagonist even if there are many doubts about Ledecka's form. With the National Association, Ester found a sort of compromise: "I don't have a contract with the federation, but don't worry because I like to compete and bring medals to my national team, the Czech Republic - explained the 27-year-old from Prague on social media - The current situation is difficult for everyone, I realize, that's why I suggested devolving the financial support I give up to young people and valuable technicians who can help them grow. I appreciate the fact that the federation allows me to compete in the colors of my country, even without a contract, both in terms of skiing and snowboarding. I am therefore ready to finance myself for this season, thanks to the support of my personal partners ”.
