Green light for the technical competitions at the end of the year in Austria: the last time, in 2019, Mikaela Shiffrin dominated both in giant (ahead of Bassino) and in slalom.

This morning, Lienz received the green light for the women's technical competitions scheduled for Tuesday 28 and Wednesday 29 December on the “Schlossberg”, which for years has hosted the circuit for the giant classics and year-end slalom, alternating with Semmering. After the giants of Courchevel (21-22 December), we will then return to Austria with the fourth round of the season between wide and pure slalom doors, with fixed times for both days (at 10 the 1st heat, at 13 the 2 ^).
The last time was competed in 2019, with a brace from Mikaela Shiffrin who dominated in the giant, ahead of Marta Bassino by 1 ”36, great second ahead of Liensberger and Brignone, and then 24 hours later in slalom beating Vlhova and Gisin.
There is a very interesting fact related to the American champion and to Lienz: the first podium of Mikaela's immense career, in fact, arrived right there on December 29, 2011, with a third place in slalom. Exactly ten years later, he will compete in the same test ...
