In Kranjska Gora everything is ready for the sixth female giant of the season, the first without Mikaela Shiffrin, Viktoria Rebensburg and Sofia Goggia, the three great absentees for today's challenge on Podkoren (10 am the 1st heat, at 13 the second run).
It will start under the first wall of a historic track for the men's circuit, but which saw the girls protagonists even two years ago, when they dominated Shiffrin, still shaken by the disappearance of dad Jeff and out of a race (as well as the slalom of tomorrow) that could see Federica Brignone strengthen its leadership in giant and evidently approach the American in the general classification of the World Cup.
The Aosta Valley has the bib number 2 and can make the most of a tough slope with decidedly hard snow, conditions that Marta Bassino likes, at the start with the 5th after the re-entering Worley and Alice Robinson, but before Vlhova (6) and Holdener (7), two other extremely dangerous athletes in a context like Kranjska Gora.

In addition to Brignone and Bassino, five other blue will be competing: Midali with 43, Bertani bib 44, the debutant Fanti (47), Pichler (48) and Pirovano with 50.
