Marta Rossetti ready to relaunch and protagonist of Giro E: "How hard to ride on the Fedaia ... without the battery"

The slalomist from Lake Garda experienced the penultimate stage of the pink race dedicated to electric bikes, together with two former world champions like Astarloa and Freire. Meanwhile, Martina Peterlini's return to skis is approaching.

The women's blue slalom has returned from another very complicated season, after some signals in the previous two had come from the young women launched by Matteo Guadagnini. Like those launched by Martina Peterlini and Marta Rossetti, then stopped by the most classic (and serious) of injuries, namely the breaking of the crusader. A few months ago the story of the '97 Trentino class, whose right knee gave way in the second European Cup slalom in Valle Aurina, in mid-December; in January 2021, however, the 23-year-old from Puegnago del Garda was injured in training, injuring the cruciate in her left knee. Both are expected, in 2022/23, to lead the new slalom team entrusted to Roberto Lorenzi and called "Cortina 2026 European Cup": the project is clear, that is to bring a quality group to the Olympic Games in Italy, when the same Peterlini and Rossetti will be in full maturity. Martina has yet to put her skis back on, but the time is approaching and between rehabilitation and work in the gym, the five months since the accident have passed according to schedule. Marta, on the other hand, lived the classic season full of post-injury difficulties: in 8 World Cup slaloms, the Brescia specialist never managed to qualify for the 2nd heat, a situation similar to that experienced by Lara Della Mea, also '' it recovered after the Crusader crash remedied at the World Championships in Cortina. Yesterday, Rossetti experienced a very special event; the blue slalom rider was in fact included in one of the two Valsir teams competing in Giro E, the event dedicated to electric bikes and parallel to the Giro d''Italia. The seventeenth stage, before today's conclusion in Verona, brought the caravan up to 2057 meters of the Fedaia Pass, with Marta who is committed to climbing the very hard slopes of the Marmolada. "I also struggled with the electric bike, running out of battery in the last kilometers of the Fedaia - he confessed in the post stage - But how beautiful and what an inspiration to be in a team with two world champions like Oscar Freire and Igor Astarloa". An extra push to return to its levels in a few months, when the snow will be the master.
