The World Cup Alpine Ski female arrives in Kronplatz, for an unprecedented Giant will be the last before the World Championships in St. Moritz.

Kronplatz, or Plan de Corones to use the Italian name, is a mountain in the Puster Valley belonging to the Dolomiti Superski, one of the most important in South Tyrol. Despite the 116 km of ski slopes, it has never hosted races of the Alpine Ski World Cup, and is remembered for tests of Snowboard and for being home to stage of the Tour of Italy cycling in three occasions.
Also with regard to the minor circuits, Kronplatz boasts no previous noteworthy. The only women's events are disputatesi a month ago, a parallel European Cup won by Katharina Gallhuber front of Meta Hrovat and Anna Swenn-Larsson, FIS Slalom and one that has seen the success of Resi Stiegler of Maren Maren Wiesler and Skjold.
Considering the absence of precedents, we remember the trend of races in the current season. So far they took place Giants 6, 3 won by Tessa Worley (Killington, Sestriere and Maribor), 2 Mikaela Shiffrin (the two Semmering) and 1 Lara Gut (Sölden).
The main character is definitely number one Tessa Worley, which adds 2 to 3 wins second place with a total of 5 podiums and consequent leadership in specialty rankings.
Good results of Italian, all of Sofia Goggia, second in Sestriere and in Maribor and third in Killington. A podium for Marta Bassino, third in Sölden, and Manuela Moelgg, third in the first race in Semmering. The marebbana can make the most of the knowledge of the track, whose finish line is placed precisely in San Vigilio, the country that gave birth.
The Giant of Kronplatz, last before the World Cup and therefore decisive to wrest the qualification, will be held Tuesday, January 24. First run at 9:30 am, the second at 12:30.
