Speaking to colleagues from sport.aktuality.sk, dad Igor Vlha explained that the absolute World Cup holder will not go to Argentina, with the limitations related to the pandemic that have already advised Team Vlhova to turn to plan B.
Lithuania, with the classic work already done for years with Livio Magoni at the Snow Arena in Druskininkai, a ski dome that allows you to work well on slalom and parallel, and then on the glacier probably between Saas-Fee and Zermatt. “Everything is going according to plan - the words of father Igor - and quality comes before quantity. Mauro Pini has perfectly integrated into a successful team, we work calmly and everything that will come in terms of results will be positive, after what has been collected ”.
Petra herself spoke to the Slovak media: “We have done four training units so far, with a lot of work at the Stelvio, and we are satisfied. The change in staff? It gives a new impulse to me and to all the people who work in the team, in terms of changes I can say that we are more dedicated to technical disciplines ”.
As already emerged in recent weeks, also according to Mauro Pini himself, the 26-year-old Slovakian will in fact miss several speed races, without however completely abandoning the descent and the super-g. “We will continue to train in every area and material testing is important; with Rossignol there is an important basis, but it is always important to try something new ”.
Vlhova, who has relaxed with a couple of trips to the Maldives and then to Spain (between Valencia and Mallorca), doesn't want to focus only on the Beijing Olympics after winning the cup. "They are too far away to think about it, first of all it is important to start well in the World Cup".
