The exclusion from the national teams, made official in May in view of the 2022/23 season, had been the classic straw to overflow the camel's back.
Roni Remme had already been active for some time to try the card of a farewell to the Canadian team which has become reality, after the rumors of the last few months, in these hours. The FIS has formalized the change of nationality, with the 26-year-old native of Ontario who, starting from the vintage starting in a few days in Soelden, will therefore compete for Germany.
The last few years have been troubled for the 1996 class who was fifth in the combined World Championship of Are 2019: it seemed to be a springboard for great results, considering its qualities of versatility, in reality everything went wrong in the following seasons, with the only flash of last January with a 17th place in slalom in Zagreb, despite the double Olympic participation with Beijing 2022 after PyeongChang 2018 (without particular results).
