The Gardena downhill skier has formalized the agreement with the region: Sudtirol will sponsor her for the entire 2019/2020 season.

It is one of the many innovations regarding Nicol Delago, the blue talent among the most anticipated in speed and fresh from the season of the final explosion, with the first podium obtained on "his" Saslong and the world medal in descent touched to Are, with the 6th final place.
The 23-year-old from Selva di Val Gardena has grown tremendously, and in the coming days she will train at Copper Mountain together with her colleagues in Colorado (Goggia, Brignone, Marsaglia, Bassino and Melesi), her sister Nadia and Elena Curtoni; actually, Nicol should have already landed in Denver in the past few hours, but the flight scheduled from Munich yesterday was canceled and, after a chaos and a lot of waiting at the airport, today will be a good day to leave towards the States and start the meeting of about ten days that will take her to the seasonal debut in Lake Louise (two descents and a super-g in program, from 6 to 8 December).
In Canada, Delago "senior" (we are talking about a '96 class, while his sister Nadia is almost two years younger) will start immediately with important chances on an ideal track for its characteristics, so much so that last year it touched his first podium in the World Cup with the fifth place obtained in the second descent, which remains his second best result in the maximum circuit, in addition to that obtained in Val Gardena just over two weeks later.
In the past few days Nicol has presented the partnership with Sudtirol, with so much "pride in representing my region", in the company of his splendid and inseparable Samoyed dog Mika, who has decided to take it to the track right on the helmet above the brand of main sponsor (look at the picture ...).
After a few days of rest at home, and also an apparition in Ortisei to watch a match of the new idol of blue and his regional tennis, Jannik Sinner, the Gardena sprinter is ready to take flight. With her sister Nadia at her side to do so much experience and, who knows, soon to reach Nicol at the top of the World Cup.
