Petra Vlhova is back on track in Pila: two days of training on the "Leissé" with Valérie Grenier

Having overcome the tendon problem in her left ankle, the Slovakian will work tomorrow and Wednesday on the Aosta Valley snow to prepare for the grand final of the World Cup.

Coach Mauro Pini stopped her after the victorious Olympic slalom, giving up a potential second medal in the combined, where Petra Vlhova would have started among the big favorites, to dispose of a problem that had been affecting her for a few weeks, namely an inflammation to the left ankle tendon. Return to Slovakia for a few days, celebrate the historic gold of Yanqing with the family, and then once the batteries are recharged, attack the possible encore in the World Cup. The Slovak champion, in fact, from Lenzerheide passing through Are and the Courchevel-Méribel finals, will play the crystal ball with Mikaela Shiffrin (but Brignone and Goggia are not yet completely cut off), to whom she only has to recover 17 points. Petra will be back on track, 13 days after the Olympic title, from tomorrow on the snows of Pila; in fact, the Aosta Valley town will welcome Vlhova for two days of training (Tuesday and Wednesday) together with Canadian Valérie Grenier. Appointment set on the “Leissé” track, the top for quality work towards a very important end of the season.
