Alice Merryweather, 25-year-old US speed specialist, hopes to soon end her ordeal which began again, in terms of injuries, last September in Saas-Fee with that very bad fall in a downhill training, which cost her left leg a fractured tibia and fibula. (with damage to the ligaments).
In the past few hours, the US Federsci has made it known that Merryweather has been operated on again, waiting to understand what the recovery times will be to get back on track and hope for her "new debut" next season. Alice has not competed in the World Cup even since the pre-covid era, or since 29 February 2020 when the super-g was held in La Thuile which represented the last race of that year before the stop.
The previous week, the stars and stripes specialist had awarded herself a beautiful 8th place in the combined Crans-Montana, when her career finally seemed to be launched.
