The mental health problem is increasingly a reality in high-level athletes. The Swiss slalom rider, competing three times in the last World Cup and an excellent protagonist in the European Cup, announces a temporary stop: the support of Swiss-Ski.

Another athlete who stops, drained of energy in the middle of preparing for next season.
The announcement was made a few hours ago and comes directly from the Swiss federation, which underlined how it wants to guarantee full support to Selina Egloff, whose well-being, like that of all the representatives of Swiss-Ski, has absolute priority.
The slalom rider born in 2001, under the Rossocrociata B team, has decided to stop indefinitely, taking a break for a few months after competing three times in the 2021/22 World Cup (five of her bibs in the maximum circuit so far, without points conquered), but was often the protagonist, with three podiums, at the European Cup level where she often battled with the blue, from Peterlini to Rossetti and Della Mea.
Egloff feels his energy reservoir has been emptied by top-tier sport. “I will take a break and probably will not compete this season - Selina's words - For me it is important to take enough time to recharge my batteries with other activities”.
