He doesn't want to leave anything to chance and, probably, aim for an almost complete calendar of races, taking advantage of a season without the Olympics or the World Cup. Mikaela Shiffrin returned to training on the track, taking advantage of an extraordinarily useful month of May even on the American snows; after a few days in Squaw Valley, the 24-year-old from Colorado moved to Mammoth Mountain for a session dedicated to speed. The winner of the last 3 absolute World Cups has always sipped downhill commitments, but the feeling with the fast disciplines is more and more evident, as evidenced by the resounding performance in super-g where she won the world title and the World Cup specialty . Certainly we will see Shiffrin immediately engaged in Lake Louise for the three debut races between downhill and super-g, but the dominator of the women's circuit could leave a few races on the road, including descents. BREM CHANGE She returned to the top 10 of a World Cup race, or rather two, three years after the magical days that led her, in March 2016, to conquer the most important title of her career with the giant slalom crystal ball. Then the very serious injury with tibia and fibula fracture and for Eva-Maria Brem the light at the end of the tunnel did not seem to ever arrive: at 30, the Tyrolean gigantist managed to get herself revised at least close to her own levels in the last specialty tests of the season, with 6th place at Spindleruv Mlyn and 7th in the Soldeu finals. Despite this, Brem has decided to change: today it has announced the "return home", to return to using Atomic materials, thus leaving Fischer. "It's like coming home after a long journey - Eva-Maria wrote on social media - Happy and excited to use the skis I grew up with".
