Laurenne Ross says enough with competitive skiing, she was born in '88, a native of Bend, Oregon, a symbol of American speed and a hen for many young people; 153 bibs worn in the World Cup, with two second places between the Garmisch-Partenkirchen descent in 2013 and the Soldeu super-g three years later, but also the participation in two editions of the Olympic Games, Sochi 2014 (with the '11th place downhill) and PyeongChang 2018, and six world championships, from Garmisch 2011 to Cortina ten years later, with the top obtained in Sankt Moritz 2017 with fifth place in “his” descent.
Laurenne has always been a pure sprinter, one of those with great sensitivity, held back by many physical problems and that last, terrible blow at the World Championships in Are, two years ago, while her teammate and great friend Lindsey Vonn left skiing.
