Surprise in Switzerland: the tenth place for Soelden is by Jasmine Flury, at the absolute debut in giant

The female line-up of the rossocrociato team is definitive: the sprinter won the internal selection staged in Diavolezza, on Saturday it will be the first race between wide doors in CdM.

The competition at Swiss-Ski is not lacking and, to complete the formation to be lined up on Saturday in the inaugural giant of the World Cup in Soelden, the classic internal selection on the slopes of Diavolezza was served. For the tenth place of an authentic female squadron that will focus above all on Gut-Behrami, Gisin, Rast and Holdener, a decidedly surprising name has popped up. The one on the Rettenbach, in fact, will be the first race between the wide doors in his career, at the maximum circuit level, for Jasmine Flury: the 29-year-old rossocrociata won over Priska Nufer, Lorina Zelger and Lindy Etzensperger, thus completing a team that will also count on Corinne Suter, in doubt despite having already been announced in the first selection and now confirmed for the opening on Saturday. Melanie Meillard, on the other hand, had already announced her forfeit in the past few hours, preferring to concentrate on Levi's slalom, she who has returned from another very difficult season and wants to find certainties between the tight poles, before playing her chances even in giant.
