The loss in female alpine skiing continues: today in a knee training suffered a serious injury also Anna Veith, yet another in just over three years.

The 29-year-old Austrian from SalzburgerLand, twice winner of the overall World Cup in 2014 and 2015 when she still had the maiden name Fenninger, during a giant training in Pozza di Fassa with the Austrian women's team of technical competitions, or with what Katharina Gallhuber's recent injuries and yesterday, by Stephanie Brunner, suffered a blow to her right knee without even falling. Anna has been subjected to magnetic resonance whose outcome has been merciless: rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of the right knee, the athlete has already been operated in the Hochrum clinic in Innsbruck.
So Anna continues the ordeal that lasts from October 2015 when, three days after the opening of the World Cup, her right knee was completely destroyed in training, and today she gave it back. The ordeal was interrupted momentarily in December 2017 with the victory in the super-G in Val d'isere plus two other podiums in the World Cup and especially with the Olympic silver in the super-G of PyeongChang, albeit mocked for a penny by Ester Ledecka. This winter, however, has never done better than the sixth place. At this point the question arises: given the manner of today's injury, in addition to the season that is interrupted here, will it be the same for the career of the beautiful and talented Anna?
