Three races in Cortina, the FIS inspection towards the women's super challenge from 20 to 22 January 2023

Yesterday Gerdol, Senigagliesi and the staff of the International Federation on Olympia delle Tofane, in comparison with the organization of the World Cup event which, next season, will count on two super-gs and a descent.

From 20 to 22 January 2023, Cortina d''Ampezzo will have an entire weekend of pure entertainment at its disposal for a women's World Cup that will experience three fast races on the Olympia delle Tofane. Compared to tradition, there will be an extra super-g at the opening, then the classic descent on Saturday and closing on Sunday 22. To evaluate all the logistical details, yesterday Peter Gerdol, chief race director of the pink circuit, and Alberto Senigagliesi, head of the fast trials, together with Massimo Rinaldi (FISI) and the men from Infront, carried out the usual summer inspection in the “Pearl of the Dolomites”. Cortina will be the third seasonal stop in Italy for women, after the novelty Zermatt / Cervinia and Sestriere (where on the "Kandahar G.A. Agnelli the various reconnaissance have already been made last month), just before Kronplatz on Tuesday 24 January 2023 will close the block of tenders in our country. The male ones? Zermatt / Cervinia on 29-30 October with the two historic men's descents, then the block from mid to late December between Val Gardena (super-g and descent), Alta Badia (double giant), Madonna di Campiglio (slalom on 22 December ) and Bormio with super-g and descent on the Stelvio to close 2022.
