Another retreat whose announcement comes during the current season, when the slalom colleagues are ready to face the first specialty races next weekend in Levi. Charlotte Chable will not be in Finland and, news made official in the afternoon by Swiss-Ski, has decided to end her career here: the last races in February 2020 for the very unfortunate Swiss specialist, literally tormented by injuries during a career that promised very well , just think of 15th place in the Beaver Creek world slalom in 2015 or 9th place, his only top ten in 35 World Cup appearances, the same year in Aspen. The last crash in the knees in September 2020, an injury after which Chable decided to take some time to decide whether or not to continue at a competitive level; last May, the ''94 class of Villars-sur-Ollon had confirmed that they wanted to continue, but the last few weeks of training have signaled too many difficulties in regaining his level and pushing his body to the limit. "I no longer felt able to give 100% - explained Charlotte - I wanted to try to return after the last serious injury, but now I feel that my body is no longer ready to give everything and take the risks that this sport leads. It was a very painful decision that I had to make, but today I am ready to open a new chapter and bring with me all the enriching experiences I have been able to have in the World Cup in recent years. Now I will devote myself to studies (in communication sciences) and I am sure that skiing will leave me with something important for my whole life ".
