Everything is going according to plan, the “Black Panther” is ready: Giada D'Antonio back on skis soon. “Time to get back in the game”

The “Black Panther” is ready to claw her way back onto the snow, as the wait for Giada D’Antonio is now over.

With the beginning of September, exactly as planned and as the 17-year-old from San Sebastiano al Vesuvio had anticipated last spring, she has entered the second phase of rehabilitation for her right knee. The first on-snow training sessions will now take place for one of Italy’s most eagerly awaited talents, while the World Cup giant slalom team is working in Ushuaia and part of the European Cup team—into which Giada has been included for the 2026/27 season—has trained at the Peer skidome. It is clear that, given the current situation on the glaciers of the Alps and the decision not to fly to South America, the best solution must be found to put together a few quality training days.

Last 14 February, she damaged her anterior cruciate ligament while training in giant slalom in Dobbiaco with her teammates, in the midst of the days of Olympic preparation. However, her recovery has gone very well and without setbacks, although the feedback on skis will now have to confirm the positive sensations she has experienced. In addition to the excellent tests carried out at a facility of excellence such as J Medical in Turin, D’Antonio thanked the centre via social media: “A huge thank you goes to all the wonderful people who helped and supported me throughout this journey; I will be forever grateful to you. Now it is time to get back in the game.”

With Levi and Gurgl coming in succession from 14 to 21 November for the first two slaloms of the next World Cup, the goal of starting the season in Finland could become a reality.
