A little more than a week before the two slaloms that will open the Women's World Cup, in Finland there is also the quartet of Roberto Lorenzi, fresh from work in Val Senales. In Levi high pectorals for all, but we must start from here to rebuild.

One last day of training, after a whole week on the race track, exploited to the full by practically all the big names in the slalom, before the "Levi Black" is delivered to the FIS in view of the double appointment between the narrow poles that will open the girls' season.
On Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 November, Levi will then host the opening of the Women's World Cup, where only four blue will be at the starting gate. The choice of home Italy was different compared to practically all the reference national teams climbed in Finland at least since last weekend, so much so that the group led by the new manager in charge Roberto Lorenzi remained to work for the entire first part of this week in Val Senales, taking advantage of the exceptional conditions of the South Tyrolean glacier.
Of course, there could be something missing in terms of feeling with the Levi Black, with the blue Rossetti, Della Mea, Gulli and Tschurtschenthaler arriving in the north in these hours; in the opening weekend, the national team will face a track that is not too popular with the Italian girls, apart from some good placements by Martina Peterlini who, in Levi, will not be there since it is still in the phase of recovery.
Of the quartet that will take part in the two Finnish slalom, only Marta Rossetti took home a top 30 here, finishing 29th in the first round of 2020. In addition, the blues will all start out of thirty (albeit close thanks to the points of the European Cup ): only Peterlini and Brignone are close to the “border” in the WCSL, the only one with points worldwide is Anita Gulli, 49th, while Della Mea, Rossetti and Tschurtschenthaler have not collected anything in the 2021/22 season.
Levi will have to represent a starting point, without creating great expectations of results, then moving from Killington for a new course, yet another of these years full of changes in the technical staff for the women's slalom national team, which has a goal clear as the same name given to the CdM group states, “Cortina 2026”.
