A special gift received before leaving Bansko today, 250 points in dowry with two victories between downhill and super-g (and 4th place in the second of the three races played) and a bowling match yesterday evening, with some colleagues including Ilka Stuhec and Kajsa Vickhoff Lie.
This is the booty of Mikaela Shiffrin, triumphant exit from the weekend in Bulgaria; for the results obtained in the World Cup weekend that sanctioned the return of the women's circuit on those snows, the resort of Bansko has therefore decided to name one of the 160 gondolas of the main gondola in the resort, just to the American champion who was very happy to "baptize" her.
His name and image will appear alongside legends such as Marc Girardelli, Alberto Tomba (the two champions have been Bansko's testimonials for years now) and Hermann Maier.
