On Wednesday, the first son of Veronika Zuzulová and her French husband-trainer Romain Velez was born.

The 34-year-old Slovak slalomist, who retired from the races during the first round of the women's Ofterschwang Cup slalom at the same time as the Austrian Michaela Kirchgasser, gave birth to Jul, named in honor of Velez's best friend, who was killed in an accident in helicopter. The child will have dual citizenship, French and Slovak: "I am already in touch with the Slovak embassy in Paris - said Veronika at sport.sk - who is preparing the necessary documents. My husband and I agree that Jul is a double mother tongue ".
The final farewell to the "Zuzu" ski celebrated it with his fans in April in Jasná. Of 183 races played in the World Cup from 2000 to this year. Veronika has won 5, 4 slalom and 1 City Event, has risen another 25 times on the podium and ended up in the top three of the door cup narrow four times: third in 2008 and in 2013 and second in 2016 and 2017. He participated at 8 World Championships finishing fourth at Beaver Creek 2015, and at the 4 Olympics, best tenth result in Vancouver 2010.
