With a great desire for redemption, after the disappointing 4th place for her in the slalom last Tuesday in Flachau. There will be two crucial giants, those scheduled for Saturday and Sunday in Kranjska Gora, for a Petra Vlhova called to defend the primacy in the World Cup from the assault of Gisin, Shiffrin and above all the blue, with Brignone and Bassino who will start in the front row in the challenges of the weekend on the "Podkoren", venue for the recovery of the canceled races in Maribor.
Vlhova, together with her staff led by Livio Magoni, moved from Flachau directly to Tarvisio to train on the Friulian slopes, where she also found a Lara Gut-Behrami at work, fresh from her super-g success in St. Anton and with the clear intention to play for the top five even in giant, as has not happened for too long (the last time 4 years ago between Kronplatz and a podium in Maribor), to try to get back into the games for the general.
The Croatian national team has also been present in Tarvisio since the beginning of the week, with the very young Zrinka Ljutic already seen in her very first cup appearances between Semmering, Zagreb and Flachau, and the Slovenian team led by Meta Hrovat, third in the last giant played in Kranjska Gora, last February 15th.
