Everything is really ready, with a track in spectacular conditions, an environment that promises to be very hot and an Italian national team that could not get better at the appointment with the home race.
On Wednesday evening the 3Tre slalom, for the 66th edition of the classic Madonna di Campiglio, where the last blue to win was Giorgio Rocca in 2005, for the thirteenth pearl of an athlete from the Belpaese on the Canalone Miramonti.
Sun and low temperatures expected until the day of the race (17.45 the 1st round, 20.45 the second), today the arrival of the first teams and Tuesday the extraction of the bibs (19 hours) in Piazza Sissi. “We come from a team result that gives us a lot of satisfaction - the words of FISI's sports director, Massimo Rinaldi, referring to the Zagreb race - Alex Vinatzer has always been compared to Clément Noel, for him to reach this first podium with the French is worth a lot and there is still room to climb. The 3Tre represents the second of the six events scheduled for this month of January as regards the World Cup slalom: “We start on the right foot - continues Rinaldi - even if Campiglio is very different from Zagreb. On Canalone Miramonti there are no flat stretches: for our kids, who love the technician and the hard bottom, it's positive. There will be pressure from the home race and I know that all eyes will be on Vinatzer, but Alex does not suffer from it and this is his favorite track. Already last year he was a great protagonist, making a mistake in the 2nd heat but with the right attitude.
