To celebrate with Paris there is also Ivan Basso and with the "Vitalini Speed Contest" a super weekend in Bormio

The winner of two Giri d''Italia has launched the Valtellinese stage of the 2020 pink race. The young winners of the speed event created by the former blue downhill racer.

A dream weekend for Bormio, in terms of organization and response from the public, with the triumphs of Dominik Paris which certainly helped to recreate an enormous enthusiasm around blue skiing. In Valtellina the triptych of races with the combined race will close tomorrow, but the side events have been several and in Valtellina there has also been a champion of cycling engaged in the snow, with a descent in fat bike on the last stretch of the Stelvio. We are talking about Ivan Basso, winner of two Giri d''Italia and Valtellinese by adoption, although born and raised in the Varese area. All this to promote the queen stage of the 2020 pink race, the one that on May 28 will see the departure from Pinzolo and the unprecedented arrival at the Cancano Lakes, in the municipality of Valdidentro, after having climbed his majesty the Stelvio. Basso celebrated with Paris at the parterre, where Davide Re, Italian record holder of the 400 meters and great ski enthusiast, and teacher since 2013, was also present as an exceptional guest. And it was also the weekend of the young people of the ski clubs in the area and beyond, who gave birth to a new edition of the "Vitalini Speed Contest", the speed test created by the former Italian downhill racer Pietro Vitalini and dedicated to children aged between 9 and 12. The winners of the contest, who reached maximum speed in the final part of the Stelvio, were Alessandro Macii (Gb Ski Club - category 2011) with 78.25 km / h, Astrid Palotti (Sc Bormio - 2011) with 72.47 km / h, Marco Compagnoni (Sc Santa Caterina - 2010) with 78.82 km / h, Elsa Mondelli (Gb Ski Club - 2010) with 79.99 km / h, Davide Savoldelli (Sc 13 Clusone - 2009) always at 79, 99 km / h, Matilde Dei Cas (Sc Bormio - 2009) at a speed of 76.59 km / h, Tommaso Visconti (Sc Goggi - 2008) at 80.59 km / h and finally Linda Pini (Sc Bormio - 2008) with 78 , 82 km / h reached. For all of them, prizes and go to the press room, like the champions on the Stelvio.
