New launch for the Madonna di Campiglio night slalom, scheduled for 8 January 2020: guaranteed show on the Canalone Miramonti.

A new launch in the heart of Milan, for the 3Tre tour that experienced a special evening.
The slalom at night that will bring the Men's World Cup to Madonna di Campiglio, for the race scheduled for the evening of Wednesday 8 January 2020, was presented by linking skiing to cycling, given that the 2020 Tour of Italy will return to the Trentino area for a stage finish.
At the Palazzo delle Stelline in Milan, therefore, here is the crystal ball and the “endless trophy†symbol of the pink race, but also many champions to bless the twinning between the two events, with Francesco Moser together with the historic testimonial of 3Tre, Giorgio Rocca, to Piero Gros and Ivano Edalini.
"That of Madonna di Campiglio is my only victory in Italy - the words of Rocca, referring to the triumph in the 2005 edition of 3Tre - I hope not to remain the last Italian for a long time and, if the first name for the race of 8 January is Noel, in my opinion, I really hope in Vinatzer â€.
Ivano Edalini, who triumphed in 1986 on the Canalone Miramonti, recalls that "that December 16th was my perfect day, I could not afford to control the rhythm like the great champions. When I won against Ingemar Stenmark, it took me a while to make it happen, but Campiglio's scream will take me inside forever. "
"Winning my second race on the Madonna di Campiglio track, in my first season in the World Cup, was an overwhelming emotion - explained Piero Gros, who triumphed in slalom in '72 and in giant in '' 74 - I will always remember the incredible crowd that was waiting for me in Cles to celebrate that 'unexpected exploit'.
For Francesco Moser, who won a Giro d''Italia (1984), but wrote indelible pages in the history of cycling (a world championship, double record of the hour, three Paris-Roubaix, one Milan-Sanremo and lots of other ...), Madonna di Campiglio represents a special place. “When I was Provincial Councilor and I was part of the organization of the Giro, it was I who brought a stage arrival to Campiglio, because it seemed strange to me that a stage of the pink race had not yet ended in such a fascinating location. Skiing is a great passion - the Trentino champion said - and I practiced it even when I was still in business. Of 3Tre, over the years, I have lost very few ... ".
