Surprisingly retires Jens Byggmark

When there are only 10 months at the start of the 2018 Olympic Games in PyeongChang gets the surprise 'announcement of the withdrawal of Jens Byggmark.

The thirty year old native of Tarnaby slalom quest''oggi has officially announced its decision to close the racing career. At the base of the Byggmark choice there are the ongoing knee problems which affected the performance of the last few seasons, "I decided to stop with ski racing because my knee does not allow me to be able to compete on equal terms with the best of the circuit athletes" these are the words of the Swedish champion issued to Scandinavian media. Byggmark fact from 2013 year of the first serious injury, began a downward spiral that has not longer allowed to return continuously to its former glory, he who as a young semi-unknown in the 2006-2007 season closed in third place in the ranking of specialties conquering two victories in two days in the dual slalom in Kitzbuehel. As noted above, the ordeal of Swedish slalom skier started in 2013 when he suffered a ligament tear of the knee which caused him to skip the 'entire 2013-2014 season. From there onwards Jens, despite his strong will could not longer fighting for the top positions of the standings having to constantly deal with his increasingly fragile and unstable knee. Even last winter Byggmark has been plagued by knee that 'forced to interrupt his season in mid-January. So an early career end for an athlete with his skiing powerful, full of incredible recoveries had made his trademark.
