Alex Vinatzer travels to Atomic: test ok at Reiteralm, the Val Gardena ready to change

The great blue hope of the slalom should leave Nordica: his last season without podiums and closed with many doubts.

There is a lot of talk about the ski market and, among the brands around which there is great interest, naturally stands out "Van Deer" given the next landing in the World Cup, at least with 2-3 good athletes, of the ski designed and launched by Marcel Hirscher. Precisely in Reiteralm, the lifelong “home” of the eight-time World Cup winner, which in recent years has become a reference location for many big names, in recent days still optimal conditions have been exploited for material tests. The indiscretion is now in a very advanced state and concerns Alex Vinatzer: the twenty-two year old from Val Gardena is ready to change, he has been wearing Nordica since the beginning of his career which led him to make his debut at a very young age at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympics, until to the two podiums in the cup and to the medal close to the medal in the world slalom of Cortina 2021. The last season was not easy for Alex: the great leap was expected, on the contrary no podiums have arrived in the ten slalom of CdM (with a 4 ° in Campiglio and a 5th place in Schladming as the best results) and a closure, from Beijing 2022 onwards, really below standard. The choice of “Vinny” would fall on Atomic, the first comparisons with Lucas Braathen, who brought the Austrian brand back to the top even in the narrow poles, touching the specialty cup, were very positive and now the time for decisions will come.
