Alexis Pinturault changes: Stéphane Quittet will be the new coach of the transalpine champion

Alexis Pinturault changes. After the most difficult season of his career (the first without a win in a decade, with only three podiums to his credit and the disappointment of the Olympics without medals), which followed the triumphal one of 2020/21 with the conquest of the absolute World Cup , the Courchevel champion will have a new personal coach. The conclusion of the historic collaboration with Fabien Munier, who had worked with Pinturault for a five-year period full of satisfactions, had already been defined; "Ski Chrono" has already anticipated the decision that the French federation will make known today, or the choice of Stéphane Quittet to support its most representative champion. The director of the transalpine national teams, David Chastan, has opted for a man of great experience and who knows well the environment of the Equipe de France and Pinturault himself, given that Quittet has worked in the World Cup team and in particular with the gigantists. Then the decision, for personal and family reasons, to devote himself to training as a mental trainer (in collaboration with the SBB itself and with the CNE of Albertville), an element that will be very useful for following Alexis also from this point of view. The agreement will be annual only for now, as Quittet himself confirmed to the Ski Chrono portal. "The goal is the world championships in Courchevel-Méribel (the same technician has been involved for some time in organizing the world championship), then we will evaluate at the end of the season".
