Matteo Marsaglia will also become a father next winter: his first child is expected by his partner Marta

The Piedmontese downhill skier, who is aiming for the second Olympic pass after PyeongChang, has given the news on social networks. "The free ride is over ...".

He joked in his own way about the most beautiful event for a couple. Matteo Marsaglia and his partner Marta Bertolli will soon become parents, in the winter in which the sprinter from Sansicario will go in search of the last satisfactions of a career that could culminate in the second Olympic participation, after that of 2018 in PyeongChang. Thirty-six years old next 5 October, the blue sprinter will therefore be a father for the first time; last season, Matteo took home a top 15 in the Bormio downhill, finishing well with the two tricolor podiums in Santa Caterina Valfurva, downhill and super-g, preceded by 16th place in the last race held in CdM in Saalbach, in the super-g that saw him touch the pass for the Lenzerheide finals (where, in any case, he would not have competed with cancellations due to bad weather).
