Azzurri, all in Val di Fassa: slalomists prepare Garmisch on the "Aloch", Paris & Co. at Passo San Pellegrino

Next week there will be various World Cup groups at work: Vinatzer will join Razzoli, Gross and the other specialists to work on the symbolic slope of Pozza, in view of the slalom of 26-27 February in Bavaria.

Val di Fassa welcomes the Azzurri, and it is certainly not the first time this season that the national team block, in this case the men's one, is preparing to train in the top conditions proposed by a territory that has an important synergy with the FISI. From Beijing to the World Cup, there is no time to breathe and therefore many athletes need quality work days, as will be the case from Monday 21 for Riccardo Tonetti and Giovanni Borsotti, the first to arrive in Fassa, together with the technicians Giancarlo Bergamelli and Walter Girardi, responsible for the blue giant. The slalomists of Jacques Theolier and Stefano Costazza, on the other hand, will have the specific task of preparing the double cup event, scheduled in Garmisch on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27. Everyone will be there, from Alex Vinatzer (still busy tomorrow with the Olympic team event) to Giuliano Razzoli and Tommaso Sala, returning from the Games, to Stefano Gross, Manfred Moelgg and Simon Maurberger. The reference track will once again be the “Aloch”, for four days of training from Tuesday 22nd to Friday 25th February. The recent snowfall has given Val di Fassa rainfall of 20 to 50 cm and, instead, climbing to Passo San Pellegrino for training on “La VolatA”, here are also the blue sprinters of the CdM group. From Monday 21 to Thursday 24, Dominik Paris, Christof Innerhofer, Mattia Casse and Lele Buzzi will be on the slopes in the San Pellegrino-Dolomiti Ski Area, assisted by all the technical staff of Alberto Ghidoni. There will also be group 2 of the World Cup, with Matteo Marsaglia, Guglielmo Bosca, Nicolò Molteni and Pietro Zazzi, followed by technicians Lorenzo Galli and Patrick Staudacher.
