The 29 year old from La Plagne, seventh in the first descent of Bormio, had been injured in the second appointment on the "Stelvio", but the contusion with spillage to his left knee did not seem to be so serious. Back on skis as early as mid January, however, Roger continued to feel pain and, after skipping the classics of Wengen, Kitz and Garmisch, in addition to the last two fast races in Saalbach, today he announced that he will not take part in the last appointments between downhill and super-g, or Hinterstoder, Kvitfjell and the finals of Cortina.
